The Custom Design Group in Bangalore is seeking a Systems Development Engineer 2. This role offers the chance to work on customer-specific solutions built around Dell’s extensive portfolio of products. You’ll work closely with engineering leads to design, develop, and validate systems that directly meet customer needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver assigned system interfaces with strong design and processes across extended teams.
  • Prepare documentation for inspection, testing, and validation procedures.
  • Design, develop, and implement cost-effective testing and troubleshooting methods.
  • Develop diagnostic programs, test fixtures, and equipment specifications for new products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality customer-driven solutions.

Requirements:

  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in hardware validation and server handling (bring-up to deployment).
  • Ability to configure and validate multi-socket CPU systems, RAID/storage, GPU/accelerators, and networking.
  • Proven experience validating server components (PCIe cards, CPUs, memory, storage devices) using structured test methods.
  • Skilled in firmware/BIOS updates, system diagnostics, stress testing, and Linux OS installations.
  • Strong ability to document test plans, logs, and detailed failure analysis reports.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer, Electrical, or related field).
  • Experience developing automated test frameworks and driving process improvements for efficiency and reliability.
